Manifesto
We are living through a moment of profound transformation. A moment in which the economic, social and environmental balances on which we have built our shared trajectory are being put to the test. In this context, perseverance is not enough. Preservation is not enough. Adaptation, on its own, is not enough either. This moment calls for vision, determination and a shared willingness to open up a new path.
In the Balearic Islands, the future is not something that will simply arrive on its own
The future requires anticipation, orientation and construction. It requires deciding what kind of progress we want to make possible and from what relationship between economy, society and environment we are willing to sustain it. We are speaking of a form of progress measured not only by what we are capable of producing or accumulating, but also by what we are capable of regenerating, restoring, strengthening and redirecting intelligently. A form of progress in which nature and people occupy a central place in our priorities. A form of progress, ultimately, that is more balanced, more conscious and more attentive to the creation of shared value.
From this perspective, the circular economy stands as the strategic principle of change. Not only because it challenges the linear logic that has prevailed up to now, but because it makes it possible to reorder the way we produce, consume, cooperate, innovate and inhabit the territory. In the Balearic Islands, moving towards circularity is thus configured as a path of progress capable of correcting imbalances, improving efficiency, stimulating innovation and integrating sustainability into the core of public and private decisions.
But every path of progress needs a concrete way of unfolding. And, in our case, that way involves advancing towards a circular tourism system. Not as an abstract slogan, but as a strategic commitment to regional development. A commitment capable of mobilising capacities, articulating interrelations, projecting initiatives and turning a future direction into real transformations on the ground. A commitment that finds in the tourism system not only one of the spaces where many of our challenges are concentrated, but also a decisive ally for driving solutions with regional reach.

Our focus is on a regenerative future
This is the scope of the change we are calling for. A change that demands strategic knowledge, orchestration capacity and the will to turn ideas into decisions, decisions into projects and projects into transformation. We also know that a transformation of this magnitude does not happen by itself. It requires trust, sustained collaboration and a form of governance capable of giving direction, continuity and scale to the transformation processes that the Balearic Islands need.
It is a responsibility we must take on
Hence the need for a space capable of connecting dispersed capacities, projecting initiatives with transformative potential and turning circularity into a more shared, structured and scalable practice. A space prepared to accompany strategic reformulations, facilitate the exchange of information, strengthen alliances and sustain, with greater solidity, the direction and pace of the transition.
reN · Balear Circular Hub is born to give shape to that space. To translate that direction into community, collaboration and capacity for action. To bring together wills, connect initiatives and project medium and long-term strategies that contribute to the circular transition of the regional tourism system and, with it, to the construction of a regenerative future for the Balearic Islands.
We invite companies, public administrations, knowledge centres, organisations and citizens to join. To share this conviction. To contribute, together, to guiding the direction of change.
We are launching reN · Balear Circular Hub
Because the Balearic Islands’ regenerative future is not something we wait for. It is imagined, built and set in motion.
