Monitoring

In a transition process such as the one proposed by the circular economy, monitoring does not simply mean measuring. It means generating the information needed to understand how the system is evolving, capture signals about the direction and pace of change, and adjust decisions, priorities and actions as the process moves forward.

For this reason, monitoring forms part of a logic of adaptive management: a way of acting that acknowledges the complexity of change, incorporates continuous learning and helps refine responses on the ground.

reN · Balear Circular Hub articulates this dimension through the Economic Intelligence Unit of Fundació Impulsa Balears. From this space, solutions are developed to strengthen the capacity to follow the circular transition and to support decision-making by public and private actors operating around the tourism system of the islands.

In the near future, the hub will also incorporate a Circular Roadmap monitoring tool, designed to track the progress of its actions, identify relevant signals regarding implementation, and strengthen the capacity for adjustment and learning around the circular transition.

We understand monitoring as a resource for turning information into learning that is useful for action
